Tevye Krynski

Tevye is the CEO and co-founder of WonderCal, where he leads the team building AI-powered scheduling that actually respects your time — and your control over your own calendar.

Before WonderCal, Tevye spent years inside MIT’s AI labs, eventually earning a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence. He built a career as an engineer working on hard, real-world AI systems before turning that experience toward founding companies.

WonderCal grew directly out of a problem he ran into while commercializing his previous company, Digital Wisdom, an AI coaching platform he co-founded with Dr. Jessica Gold. The hardest engineering problem they faced, Tevye likes to say, wasn’t technical — it was getting five busy people on the same call. Deals slipped. Momentum died in calendar back-and-forth. The tools he tried either solved the wrong problem or quietly took over his calendar in ways he didn’t want.

So he built the tool he wished existed: a scheduler that reads everyone’s availability, proposes options, and asks before it changes anything. That philosophy — automation with explicit approval, not automation at all costs — is the principle WonderCal is built on.

The throughline is always the same — software should earn trust before it earns access.

Tevye is also a father of three, and his perspective on time — what it’s worth, where it leaks, and why coordination overhead matters — comes as much from juggling a real life as from running engineering teams. He’s based in the U.S. and works closely with the WonderCal team on product, AI, and the long arc of building software people actually trust.
